CTK-Busia is a community-driven initiative that equips local communities in Busia County with knowledge, tools, and technologies to combat climate change impacts.
CTK-Busia is a new, ambitious, community-driven initiative established to empower the local communities of Busia County, Kenya, with the knowledge, tools, and technologies needed to combat the impacts of climate change.
We are driven by a mission to combat climate change, create resilient communities, and advance innovative solutions. We bridge the gap between indigenous wisdom and modern scientific solutions, ensuring that local communities—especially youth, women, and marginalized groups—are equipped to lead climate action and build resilience.
We are in the early stages of building our programs and team – led by Chris Ouma, a multi-disciplinary visioner with extensive experience in youth strategic engagement, community development, research and evaluation in the development world – we continue to build a distinguished team of young people passionate about real climate action, sustainability and environmental justice.
To empower communities in Busia County through education, research, and sustainable practices for climate change resilience, combining indigenous knowledge with modern solutions.
