Empowering Communities for Climate Resilience
Climate change disproportionately affects vulnerable and indigenous communities, threatening livelihoods, food security, and natural resources. In Busia County, limited access to climate education and innovative technologies exacerbates these challenges. CTK-Busia was founded to address these gaps, fostering a sustainable and climate-resilient future through education, research, innovation, and community-driven action.
Who We Are
CTK-Busia is an ambitious, community-driven initiative established to empower local communities in Busia, Western Kenya, with the knowledge, tools, and technologies needed to combat the impacts of climate change. We are driven by a mission to combat climate change, create resilient communities, and advance innovative solutions. We bridge the gap between indigenous wisdom and modern scientific solutions, ensuring that local communities, particularly young people, women, and marginalized groups are equipped to lead climate action and build resilience.
